Cataloguing
We have catalogued the full content for selected years of
Mayfair and
La Revue Moderne. This data, derived from the magazines’ tables of contents, is searchable via this link: http://search.middlebrowcanada.org/ms-en/ It has also been deposited with CWRC: the Canadian Writing Research Collaboratory, based at the University of Alberta. Our project is one of CWRC’s pilot projects.
Book
A monograph co-authored by Faye and Michelle, ‘Magazines, Travel and Middlebrow Culture: Canadian Periodicals in English and French, 1925-1960’, is now out with
Liverpool University Press (June 2015) and
University of Alberta Press (North American rights, August 2015).
Special journal issue
A special issue entitled ‘Print culture, mobility, and the middlebrow / Imprimé, mobilité et culture moyenne’ has been published as volume 48 of the
International Journal of Canadian Studies (2014). This double issue contains 13 papers initially prepared for our Advanced Research Seminar.
